• Rustic off-grid tent camping with outdoor classroom area & basic facilities, gardens, jungle, yoga & meditation spots. Bring your own tent, sleeping bag, work clothing/shoes, hat, flashlight/lantern, water bottle, sunscreen, bug repellant, towels, etc.
• Limited electricity available from solar PVC panels for charging small devices & providing lighting in communal areas
• Beach, plaza, shops & restaurants are a 20 minute walk away. We will have at least one vehicle for use as a shuttle.
• If camping is not your cup of tea, you will be responsible for any additional housing costs. Many options are available in town, though hotels & private home rentals can be filled months ahead, so please check as early as you can for reservations. We planned the event to be NOT during the highest peaks (Dec/Jan & Easter/Holy Week) so that housing would be easier to find. One possibility is that we will rent an entire house in March for those who prefer more comfortable accommodations. We can assist you with logistics upon registration and payment/deposit.

A great resource for researching the Sayulita area and housing is thru the website:

MEALS / FOOD

We will provide Breakfast and Lunch each day that class is in session, and an occasional dinner. There will always be snacks and drinks available throughout the day. Meals will be prepared by a local chef using as many organic, locally-grown ingredients as possible. But, as it is in a small village in a developing country it is not always possible to source organic or locally, but we will try our best.

Delicious meals will vary from Mexican cuisine to more international dishes such as stir-frys and fresh salads. Vegetarian & Vegan options are available. Please indicate this and other preferences and special needs on the Registration page.

We may allow for some individual cooking onsite but kitchen facilities are rustic and cannot accommodate many cooks or food storage for everybody. Refrigeration consists of coolers with ice.

Bring any special treats and supplements which might be difficult/impossible to obtain locally…

Breakfast will be available between 7:00 – 9:00 AM in a self-serve buffet format. Typical offerings will be fresh fruit, cereals, juice/coffee/tea, bread/pastries. On weekends we may prepare egg dishes, pancakes and other treats.

Lunch will be eaten during mid-day break, usually 1pm. There will be one or two main healthy main course items along with vegetables, salad, grains, breads and dessert. Yes, we will have rice, beans and tortillas!

Dinner is not provided most days, though we will have a couple of special occasions to share an evening meal as a group. We encourage you to use your off time to explore the area and enjoy the superb Mexican & International cuisine offered in the area (and you just can’t beat a margarita on the beach at sunset :-)
